Fishing, Reading Comprehension, & Other Summer Fun

This blog has been sadly neglected the past few months.  Summer is speeding right along and though I am trying to keep up with Junior's regular blog I completely forget this one much of the time.

Here are some of this months activities with the ipad.  Of course it is used daily for basic communication as well.

Fishing for words, this is one you may recognize from past posts but it is a favorite and a great way for Junior to work on his reading without really realizing it.
Catching his fish

He got one
 The symbol on the back
Matching the symbol with the word, yes the word is "help".
Playing a drawing game with Abby

Comprehension questions from the latest chapters in the Hardy Boys book we are reading(I change the questions each day before we read our next few chapters).  He loves his Hardy Boys books and I love seeing him be so quick to choose the correct answer. It shows me that he really is listening and understanding.
His glasses make it hard to tell in the pic but he is looking at "rocks" which is the correct answer

Again hard to tell in the pic because of his glasses and the angle he is sitting but he is looking at "telescope eye piece" which is the correct answer.

Telling me he wants to listen to music during quiet time
Abby got here so quiet time music turned into silly dance time.

What I was told after he started to get upset.  The picture is a bit fuzzy so if you can't see it, it says "I need help, please take of my braces, AFOs"

And some summer fun pictures
Pool time

 golfing
some water gun fun, yes it is switch adapted so he is shooting it all by himself(we had a water proof table cloth with bulls eye set up for him to shoot at)

I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer
