School With the Ipad - Bugs

Junior got an introduction to his insect unit today. It is a school holiday so we just had a fun intro to the world of bugs.

We found a great insect app which Junior thinks is wonderful(iBugCollection). I was disappointed at the small number of insects available on the app but very impressed by the app itself.
You can touch the insect to move it to any angel and be able to see every part of it. You can zoom in to see every detail. Pressing the play button will make the insect walk/fly as well as make the sound(bugs will even fly into the screen and make it appear to shatter). Not an app for insect information but for Junior to get to see the bugs up close and watch how they move it was perfect.
